Max Kisman

Max Kisman (NL) is a pioneer in the use of digital technology for graphic design and illustration. Doing so, he has created strong and clear pictorial language. Kisman has made animations for Dutch broadcasting organisation VPRO and has worked as an art director for Wired Television in San Francisco.
His current practice includes illustration (for instance for Dutch newspapers de Volkskrant and Het Financieele Dagblad and for Tcho Chocolate), info graphics, graphic design, animation, visual identities and typography for his own typeface firm Holland Fonts. He designed the Tijd alphabet, extracted from 26 illustrations for Folding sheet 7: Small Dictionary about Time, issued by Lenoirschuring Printers in Amstelveen, the Netherlands.
