Babette Wagenvoort

Dutch illustrator and visual artist Babette Wagenvoort draws on various materials, from digital mobile devices to kitchen cabinets. She uses multiple techniques, varying from animation to pencil. She has illustrated for Dutch editions like DUF Magazine, Vrij Nederland, Opzij, VPRO Gids, Dazed&Confused and de Volkskrant, both in print and online. Moreover she made daily drawings in red pencil, that she put on line as Life According To A Rectilinear Personality. Recently, her Live Finger Drawings were shown as a visual report, projected onto the The Hague Town Hall at TodaysArt Festival. She also showed moving nature drawings at Nest in The Hague. Babette Wagenvoort was curator of the internet platform Volksrant Oog and teaches at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague.
