Monobanda PLAY presents its work Saturday June 4

Monobanda PLAY aims to explore and expand the boundaries of games and interaction through ‘aesthetic playing’. This artistic foundation is inspired by the social interactions that take place in children’s playgrounds and sand-pits, where creativity and imagination still run wild.

Working on both commissioned and independent projects, they focus heavily on researching and developing news forms of play and meaningful interactivity. This leads to projects within the space between the virtual and physical world.

The work of Monobanda is visually and substantively groundbreaking. An ongoing research on technical applications, mixed with a distinctive shape and visual language. With the app Nott Won’t Sleep, a narrative game about sleep rituals for preschoolers, Monobanda have won several awards including the ADC Best Play Award in 2013.
