Bodil Jane has been drawing ever since she could hold a pencil. For this reason she went to study at the Willem de Kooning Academy where she graduated cum laude in 2014. Not long after, she was scouted via Instagram by an international agency. Since then she has worked for major international brands, but also for cultural and non-profit organizations.
Bodil Jane describes her work as feminine, colorful and playful, not really realistic, but not unrealistic either. She likes to incorporate idealism and sustainability in her illustrations, in which women play an important role. She tries to draw them in such a way that they recognize themselves: full of character, diverse, tough and nice. Bodil Jane likes to make beautiful, fun drawings, with a message. She works digitally on commissioned work, and often uses watercolor in free work. bodiljane.com
