Peter van den Ende (1985) is a Flemish author and illustrator. He finds the inspiration for his imaginary world in his own life. He transforms things he admires, experiences and desires, into a highly imaginative alternative version of reality in his detailed drawings. He loves connotation and symbolism. Although he has an explanation for everything he draws, he prefers that his readers to come up with their own interpretations. His stories are intended to amaze people of all ages.
His children’s book The Wanderer Danger was listed on the New York Times 25 Best Children’s Books of 2020: “magic, surprise and awe abound in this masterly, wordless debut about a paper boat’s nighttime sea journey into the unknown.”
